Imbolc Retreat, Ireland

  • Bru Moytura Corlisheen, SO, F52 D290 Ireland (map)

You are warmly invited to the wild foothills of rural Sligo to celebrate the Imbolc, the ancient festival marking the turning of the seasons, the threshold between Winter to Spring and a time to honour the energies of the Goddess Brigid.

Brigid is a triple goddess – the goddess of healing symbolised by the element of water, goddess of the alchemical force of fire, and goddess of poetry. In this respect she represents each one of us and our unique talents, skills and qualities. Too often we put ourselves in boxes, limited by cultural stereotypes in an effort to fit in. Brigid urges you to develop and express all your gifts however they wish to move through.

That is the spirit this retreat, which is a co-creation and a gathering for friends old and new to meet in silence, dream together and feel into that inherent desire to express and create that we all share. The schedule below is simply the bones of how the days might unfold, each one of you who joins will add the flesh of what needs to emerge through this dance across the thresholds. This is very much a family gathering of special souls where we can come together to rest and be in community.

We have a few spaces left!

£400 includes 4 nights in shared accommodation, all meals, practices and local pick-up and drop off to Sligo town. We ask for a £100 to secure your place and the balance paid by Jan 20th.

If you would like a private room please let us know as there are limited double and private rooms available at an addtional cost. Email immerse@samavesa.yoga with any questions.
